Our little twins, Lily and Ella, burst into our lives over a year ago! Now that we’ve conquered the first year, I’m super excited to share what inspired their adorable peachy nursery design. Let me tell you, designing a nursery for twins is no joke. We had to think about everything, from picking the perfect colors and furniture to figuring out storage for all their tiny clothes. Our goal was to create a space that felt peaceful, especially during those middle-of-the-night wake-up calls. We went for gentle, soothing colors and versatile decor that can evolve with the girls as they grow.

Peach Color Palate
Peachy with some hints of blue was the inspo for the twins nursery design. Their room has a connecting door to our 5-year-old daughter’s room, who’s obsessed with pink. I wanted both rooms to be the same color to bring it all together, but here’s the catch: I can’t stand pink (sorry, not sorry). So to make my 5-year-old’s dreams come true and avoid a pink bedroom, we settled on a peach! Benjamin Moore’s Jumel Peach Tone from their historical collection has this beautiful, muted tone that goes so well with blues. Check it out here.
Design tip– when choosing paint colors, it’s important to consider the overall ambiance and atmosphere you want to achieve in your home. By bringing swatches of the other colors in your home, you can ensure that the new color complements the existing palette.
Twin Nursery Furniture
- Dresser -I stumbled upon this dresser on Facebook marketplace. I usually don’t go for painting wooden furniture, but this piece was in pretty bad shape, so I decided to grab a paintbrush! I went for a color called Benjamin Moore’s Birds Egg, which is a light, neutral blue. It might be hard to tell from the pictures, but trust me, it complements the peach nursery walls beautifully.
- Rug – I love jute rugs for their laid-back coastal vibe, but since jute is not the softest material, I layered it with a faux sheepskin rug for extra coziness. You can find a similar one here.
- Cribs-The cribs are Pottery Barn Elsie. I’m a traditional girl at heart and love a timeless look. They also convert to toddler beds so although pricey they will last forever!
- Curtains: These stylish curtains from Ikea are a must-have. Despite their affordable price, they give off a high-end look.

Twin Nursery Decor
When choosing decor for any room, it’s important to take inspiration from what you already have. By observing the shapes, textures, colors, and patterns in the room, you can create a sense of harmony. For example, this lamp was a great find from TJ MAXX, and you can see how it complements the texture of the jute rug and the wicker basket, creating a repeated element that ties the space together. Additionally, the carefully chosen picture frames effortlessly bring in the accent colors of blues and peaches, adding to the cohesive look. The playful fish sheets from Target add a touch of whimsy, while the stylish pillows from Amazon complete the overall aesthetic.
Design Tip: Designing a cohesive space involves a thoughtful and intentional approach. By repeating elements such as textures, colors, and shapes, you can establish a harmony throughout the space. For instance, you might carry a specific color scheme from the walls to the furnishings, or integrate consistent textures in different design elements. This repetition helps create a sense of unity and balance, making the space feel more inviting and visually appealing.
Lastly, I choose acrylic bookshelves to allow the books to serve as the wall decor, leaving a simple, clean look.
Overall, when I enter the girls’ nursery, I feel peaceful. The soft peachy hues and cozy vibe create a wonderful space where I can spend time with our girls. If you have any questions about handling twins or want to chat about the joyous chaos of raising multiples, feel free to reach out anytime!
